Aerus Flight ZV165 from Piedras Negras to Monterrey, operated by a Cessna 208B, XA-RFD, force landed approximately 2.5 NM North of the intended destination after encountering technical difficulties. The 3 occupants, 2 crew and 1 passenger, were injured. The aircraft was severely damaged.

The aircraft was parked at the ramp after landing on runway 30 when an employee of SkyDive Marana exited and sustained fatal injuries after he walked into the propeller which was still running.

IndiaOne Air

IndiaOne Air flight I7102, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, crashed during a forced landing 10 km south of the destination, Rourkela Airport (RRK). All six occupants were injured. After a few days one accipant died in hospital from the injuries sustained in the crash. The flight departed Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 12:20 local time and climbed to the cruising altitude of 8000 feet. Approximately 30 NM short of Rourkela, the crew observed that the engine oil pressure was less and they started to monitor. They noticed a downward trend in oil pressure and reduction in the engine power. Upon confirmation of low oil pressure indications, the crew secured engine in accordance with non-normal checklist procedures and prepared to make an emergency landing at the nearest suitable site. A mayday call was given to Rourkela ATC informing that the aircraft would attempt landing at the nearest field. After assessing terrain options, an initial attempt to reach a dry river-bed was discontinued due to insufficient height and the crew selected an alternate open field that appeared clear of major obstacles. However, during the final approach, the aircraft hit a tree top and the powerline very close to the tree. The crew tried to avoid the powerline but the aircraft had lost height and impacted ground.

A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, PK-PPI, overran runway 25 after landing at Ilaga-Aminggaru Airport (ILA), Papua, Indonesia. It hit a guard post at the airport entrance, and ran into the perimeter fence. A fire developed which consumed part of the aircraft. The pilot and a technician suffered minor injuries.

Alaska Air Transit

A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, N645AT, overran runway 34 during landing at Anchorage-Merrill Field (MRI), Alaska, USA. The operator reported that to comply with the straight-in arrival procedure at the airport, the pilot was required to make a steeper approach to the runway, and he did not decelerate the airplane to a normal landing speed during the approach. As the approach continued, the airplane passed over the runway threshold faster than anticipated, resulting in an inadvertent, midfield touchdown. After touchdown, the pilot determined that there was not enough runway to safely abort the landing, so he continued the landing roll. He applied reverse thrust and hard braking, but the airplane overran the runway, collided with an airport perimeter fence, crossed six lanes of traffic before coming to rest in an open grass field. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the right wing lift strut. The operator reported that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation. Probable Cause: The pilot's decision to continue an unstabilized approach, which resulted in a landing touchdown with insufficient runway remaining and a subsequent runway overrun and a collision with a fence.
